anabolic steroids and hep C

by decadude, Feb 27, 2008 06:55PM
I have been into weight lifting for some time now. Years ago i was really heavy into weight lifting.

I have just gone off treatment been off for a few weeks now.

I am considering taking very mild anabolic steroids such as anavar and equipoise. stuff that typically is not very harsh on my liver

I know i have 1 to 2 viral count loads to do for this year.

My plan is to take the gear in moderation take stuff that is not very taxing on my body. and also do my post cycle therapy with nolvadex or clomid two ancillaries that are not as harsh on the body as well.

I heard that AAS and other androgenic supplements can enhance viral replication. This is terrible news to my goal I realize this. Just wanting others insight.

also i heard they give equipoise to cirrhosis patients

Thanks to all who reply

Hi, I used to be pretty heavy into weight lifting too...could bench out 100, not bad for a girl...but not great either, lol...don't know much about your question, but I will say this - your big priority is your health and your liver, you've just been shooting some pretty toxic meds, and your body needs sometime to readjust, etc..etc...clear out toxins, etc...if you can get both your health and your full liver function back, youre way ahead of the game...but those should be your big priorities, in my view...many people here would just like to be able to walk to the store and back...best of luck to you....

wow very powerful words that hit home you are right i should be thankful that i survived treatment, not to say easily i represent the few that have little to no sides.

you are right i should be mainly concerned solely about my health.

I will stay away from the toxic stuff and just stick to focusing on my health not my appearance

Glad to hear your decision. I'm sure you look great without them.

Bigger isn't always better. You have a long productive life ahead of you. I always try to find the good in every bad situation and with Hep C the good is the amazing amount of respect you learn to have for your body. So many of us may have been abusive in one way or the other in our past lives. But it seems like coming out of treatment is almost a chance to be re-born.

Enjoy your body and your life.
