anemia

by fellow traveler, May 16, 2003 12:00AM
hey guys.  i'm anemic - test of 5/2 shows wbc 1.8, rbc 3.94, hgb 12.8, platletts 106, rdw 15.9,monocyte 16 and neutrophils .8.  i took my second shot of Procrit Wed. and, unlike the time before, it's not having much affect.  I just took pegysis shot #16 out of 24 (I'm 2b with 24k viral load).  my next appointment with doc is 5\29.  Can I just suffer through anemia with my kind of numbers w/o worrying about doing something bad to myself?  Is it ok to sleep as much as I want.  Feeling like this I have no interest in anything.  Anything good to eat for this?  Should I continue excersizing?  If I force myself to do that, I usually feel alittle better.  If I force myself to get interested in something I usually feel better too.  What I don't want to do is stop tx - only 8 shots to go and I'm sure I'm going to clear this thing.  Are my numbers bad enough that I should consider calling a doc or can I muscle it out to 5/29 for my next appointment? and is taking a 2 hour nap twice a day too much? anything else you guys can suggest would be appreciated.
Thankyou guys
Jeff
