another hemoglobin question

end of 1st week   12.7.....end of second week...9.9.....3 days later (yesterday) ..9.1........so i'm trying to see if i can get procrit....i'm looking into seeing if theres assistance funding it as i hear it cost quite a lot...anyone know how much it cost?  or has anyone without insurance received any help with it...thanks....billy

Yes it's over 6,000 for a box of 10 - that lasted me five weeks as I was dosing 2x a week at 40,000.

Pretty sure they used to have a patient assistance program on their website trying going there.

Oh on my insurance it wouldn't go through as Procrit so they put it through as epogen (generic) and it went through fine.

From personal experience, I would get it set up ASAP.    Procrit is very expensive, about 700.00 a dose and if you are taking it twice a week.....So yes, see if you can get some assistance.  It takes a while to get it approved and it takes a while for it to start working.  Good Luck
