antidepressants

by fellow traveler, Jun 12, 2003 12:00AM
I've been taking Paxil since a month before I started tx in Jan.  About three months ago my doc upped the dose from 10 to 20mg along with Procrit when I became anemic.  I've got 4 shots to go but I am enjoying the AD so much I want to continue awhile after tx.  My attitude toward everything - work, fam, friends, interests, problems - is so much more healthy it seems. My thought process seems more logical and pragmatic - more thoughtfull.  I seem to be relearning how to be a good guy again after years of too much booze and thoughts that always began with "me-me-me", if you know what I mean. What's amazing is that I can remember how I used to "be" and I can see how negative it was.  How defeating.  My question - how long can people stay on ADs?  And any sites I can look at that might be helpful?
thanks
