It may or may not be treatment related.   My nurse advised me to let her know if I had any 'unusual' things happen, and if you don't normally get nosebleeds, this could certainly be 'unusual'.

Give your medical team a call and let them know.

I'm not sure how long you've been treating or what stage you are but good luck for a successful tx.

low platelets can be caused from the treatment. This can cause a bloody nose

Besides low platelets, high blood pressure can also cause nose bleeds.....or a broken blood vessel.

Or, excessive nose-picking. Which brings up the subject of hemorrhoids....

I had the same thing happen to me on tx!

My sinuses were bleeding and draining out my nose.
I had never had a nose bleed in my life!

It only lasted a couple of weeks.

Put a humidifier in bedroom and that seemed to help.

I had it, together with sinus infection, I am stil on Tx now (6 weeks left out of 48), the nose bleeding and the sinus problem were very very difficult for me.

I have tried with several ENT docs several treatements, the only one that helped and solvdthe problem is - Predinsone together wirh Antibiotics for 1 week, beside that - all along the treatement to use "Wet Gel Spray" for the nose, and not to use any other thing for the nose.

In my case that treatement solvedthe problem after about 5 months that I have suffered from that.

Be aware that docs don't like to gove Predinsone while on treatement, but there are also very good hepa docs that will tell you that to take Predinsone for only 1 week 2-3 times during treatement is OK.

I know it is very difficult, this is what solved the problem in my case after many months of suffering.

Another point - during treatement the body develop fever from time to time, while fever is high it cause some uncomfort in the nasal etc., fever reducer helped to me with that. You may need to take those, sometimes even up to 4 capsules in a day (as you feel), my doc said this is not a problem for the liver nor for the treatment.

Take care,
Jack
