This study discusses liver hormones some.

from the article heading:
"Glomerular hyperfiltration after protein ingestion, during glucagon infusion, and in insulin-dependent diabetes is induced by a liver hormone"
So you can see that our livers do in fact produce hormones.
only if the liver is soooo large it holds you too far from your mate.
I'm under the impression that our liver is a filter for our blood. If I'm not mistaken, the endocrine glands are primarily responsible for our hormone production.
I suppose improper filtering of toxins from the system due to a poorly functioning liver could have an adverse effect upon them. Also, the Pancreas, and I think the Adrenal gland, are close to the liver, so I suppose an enflamed/enlarged liver might affect them in that manner.
One way to tell if it is having any affect is to get tested. If I recall correctly when I was tested counts and motility are the biggest factors. Sometimes, as was the case in my situation, infertility can not be explained by medical science. I've never heard about the liver being a concern though.
You think someone else gave her the enlarged thing?
Isn't our liver responsible for the production of hormones? In that way it would have "something to do" with our reproduction.
The liver has nothing to due with our reproduction system. If your in doubt about your responsibility to the child your girlfriend carries, then perhaps you should have a test run. I hear Maury Povich might be able to help here. Check out: http://www.mauryshow.com
I dont know what liver functions have to do with reproduction at all.
Most of us here have a lot of liver inflammation and have had kids just fine if that helps.
4Andy: can an enlarged liver stop me producing children
--------------------------------------------------------
Only if you make love to the liver (didn't Holden Caulfield do that) and not your wife :)
Seriously, never heard of that before. Many here have enlarged livers and seem to reproduce just fine.
All the best,
