can we have a baby?

Hi .. my boyfriend was diagnosed with hep c and told he needed a liver transplant 7 years ago. He had the transplant and is now in good health. the only thing is we have been trying for a baby for the last year and had no sucess. he is concerned that the hep c or the anti rejection drugs he takes means he is now infertile. he is worried to go to the doctor and get tested in case it is bad news.

ive tried to research into this and found nothing to say we cant have a baby. does anyone have any advice?

Hi, my husband and I want to have a baby as well. From what I know, there should be no reason you can't have a baby because of the treatment. I am not sure about the anti-rejection drugs. You should ask his doctor about this. I know you can't have a baby while you are on treatment (neither the male nor the female). After you wait 6 months, it should be ok as far as hep c. treatment goes. Though I am no doctor, I don't think the reason you have been unsuccessful is because of the Hep. C. This is just my opinion.
