cant sleep need advise on one that works

been on treat ment 6 weeks cant sleep more than 2 hrs at a time tried over the counter tried aambiem cr/lunesta nothing works any suggestions   thanks

Personally, I have found Melatonin helpful, but it gives me weird dreams.
I finally got my PC doc to give me Valium. Just enough for shot night and Sunday before work on Monday, then he finally opened up the amount I think he was getting tired of me asking). My GI would not give me anything ... "tough it out".

Valiums are a class 3 narcotic, so be responsible, but it's a tried and true drug that has been around forever.

Lunesa is a waste of time .... haven't tried Ambin (which is a Soma mix ...
I hate the way Soma leaves feeling the next day).

I found that 2-4 50mg of Trazadone worked very well with me during treatment.  You might want to try that.  It is not addicting and easy to get off of.

hi ,first of all, I am not taking treatments of inf . or anything yet....I do have hep c.  i have been an insomniac for yrs., trazadone worked the best for quite awhile for me,with no hangover,,,  then all of a sudden it did not work anymore.period..even if i upped the dose, altho I always took small doses. I usually try to take the smallest amt. of any drug that I can and have it work. So , now I take xanax..and it definately helps. I take  1 third to one half  only of a 5 mlgrm. It has been working for about 2 yrs. now..I take less if I feel I can sleep... I think (for me anyway) it can be the anxiety of everything, and the stimulants in meds. I am highly sensitive to any stimulants, caffiene etc. which stops me from sleeping. I do not know if these drugs mix w/ inf/peg.

if i take ambien cr on an empty stomach (6 hours after eating) it works. otherwise it has little or no effect for me.
