car accident

i got into a bad accident in the end of jan of this year.. the doctors had to cut out half of my liver and i was in a coma for a month and a half. when i woke i found out i have hep c. now my liver is growing back and my questions is if there are going to be any complications or aggrevations or speeding up of the virus during all of this,?? Will my liver grow back right? i am now feeling fatigue and have bumps all over my body like acne. what should i do

I'm so sorry to hear about your accident. That sounds just horrible. I know your liver will grow back. If you are asking if it will grow back new and healthy, I'm really not sure. I know that people have posted in the past about asking their docs why they can't just cut out the bad portion of the liver so it will grow back with out liver damage and they are always told no, that can't be done. But perhaps that is because it is huge surgery for probably little to no benefit. What does your doctor say?

My guess is that the surgery would not impact your hepatitis C unless you were very late stage. But it is only a guess.

The liver does have the ability to regenerate, so as far as it growing back "right", I think your're OK. I'm not a doctor, but I would think given what you've been through, you should be feeling tired!  You've had a huge stress put on your body (and mind). You should ask your doctor about your symptoms and also about getting you in touch with a liver specialist. Good luck and welcome!

I'm sorry to hear about your bad car accident, the removal of a portion of your liver and the subsequent diagnosis of Hep C.  THAT was a bad beginning to a year.

I don't have any answers to your questions but others on here might.  I wanted you to know that I wish you well with your recovery.
