No wonder he's taking so long!
I asked Master Chin on several threads to provide us with not only his parents results but all doctors notes, blood work, genotype, progress reports, liver biopsy reports and the renowed Schu Liver Clinics aka S-h-i-t-U Liver Clinics findings and conclusions regarding their cure. It's probably taking longer to create those documents.
I believe Zhang has an MD degree and know he has been an invited lecturer at various prestigious medical centers including the same hospital where our resident expert, Dr. Dieterich practices. Several members here reported good results with Zhang. Herbs are very under-studied and IMO should be on the table as long as the liver is monitored on a regular basis. I don't know very much about the individual herbs to be able to comment on your "children" question but I think we're getting a bit off the mark here. But as long as we're off the mark, yes, our friend Mr. Chinn hasn't come back with his parents results. Maybe he was waiting until the political threads ran their course so he could get more attention :)
The liver formula contains:
Gentian Root, Isatis Root, Curcuma Root, Wormwood, Gambir Plant, Selfheal Fruit-Spike, Cassia Seed.
And the website claims.....
"The Liver Formula is made with Chinese herbs that have been proven, in scientific studies, to be extremely effective in combating various liver-related problems. The formula helps liver problems caused by Hepatitis A, B and C, cirrhosis, jaundice, and liver dysfunction. It also helps to regulate high liver enzymes caused by improper diet, improper use of vitamins, and long-term use of certain medications. This formula also assists with digestive problems caused by liver or gallbladder problems. The formula also aids liver detoxification. The herbs in the formula can be safely used by persons of any age, including children."
My only question is.....why, oh why.... would you want to give this to 3 and 4 year old children?
You know what I'm thinking?
Matt Chin hasn't come back with his parents results.....LOL
Zhang, like Dr. Misha Cohen, has a good reputation in the alt med/herbal world. But as you know, while the herbs may help, they don't cure Hep C. For that reason, it's important to have your liver monitored on a regular basis by a conventional liver specialist (hepatologist) including blood tests, ultrasounds, and in most cased liver biopsy. Only then can you tell how much liver damage you have and if the herbs are making any difference. Probably the biggest downside of herbs -- and I mean the good ones -- is that they might prevent some people who have significant liver damage from treating when they should.
