HEPATITIS C COMMUNITY

clarity requesting on forum posting

Hi all
May seem a silly question to post after being here a few weeks ...but I am confused about the two different hepatitis forums
1) The hepatitis community / living with hepatitis and 2) the hepatitis forum.
What is the difference between these two, and yes I have read the description at the tops.
The Hepatitis Community/Living with Hepatitis Forum says “This forum is for questions about medical issues and research aspects of Hepatitis such as, questions about being newly diagnosed, questions about current treatments, information and participation in discussions about research studies and clinical trials related to Hepatitis.
The Hepatitis Forum says ”This forum is for questions about medical issues and research aspects of Hepatitis such as, questions about being newly diagnosed, questions about current treatments, information and participation in discussions about research studies and clinical trials related to Hepatitis.

I am posting this in both forums, but wanted to ask all, where is it best for me to regularly post as I am ON Tx for HEP C and quite uncertain ... hey, is This BRAIN FOG??
Thanks
Albany from cold, COLD Canada!

which ever group helps you find the answers you need.

if you have questions about hep-c and are looking for similar people as yourself for help w/hep-c then i would 'ask on'.

and yes it is brain fog but where i am at right now i will call them brain freeze.
we are getting hit with a bunch of ice right now here kansas city,mo

i understood it to be this forum is for medical and the community forum is for everything else, social stuff, jokes, etc, etc

i am not quite sure but i can tell you that there are some in both groups who will let you know if your in the wrong place and my response to that person would be '**** off'.

from what i have read too is that generally both groups are there for help to people with serious questions about tx/w/hep-c.

i am sorry i can not be of more help to answer your question.

hopefully someone can be more definitive for you.

First, this post just belongs in the other fourm. Just kidding :)

It's really a good question because plenty of overlap and anyone who can convince me otherwise, well they can't really.

As some sort of guideline, if it has nothing to do with Hep C -- like totally off topic -- movies, a joke, or something like that -- then it belongs in the Community forum. And if it's a study specific to Hepatitis C, then it probably belongs here.

Other than that, I think it's often a judgment call whether a particular question belong here or in the support forum. For example, I've seen people post their SVR data in both forums and I can see good arguments for either, if you feel you need an argument that is. I've also seen people post problems they're having with treatment -- low hgb, low WBC, sinus, etc -- in both forums. Again, a case can be made for both. And I've seen people even post important medical topics in the main forum here that were not directly HCV related. I did that recently with a study about cancer which I felt affects many of us, but was not really "support" related so I picked this forum. Could just have easily picked the other.

But if you're in doubt, and think the question is important enough to you, post it where you think it will get the most readership, which I think is probably here.
