i was put on probation in 1987 for 3 years, suspended sentence, after that my lawyer had it closed ,no finding, no jail, and since then no problems, maybe a speeding ticket..

Was it a felony or a misdemeanor?

Agree with puppiepaws, it was a long time ago, not a felony, hopefully it will be no problem.  Certainly worth applying for the position.  Good luck to you!

What do you mean by "a record"?  Many states require background checks these days for persons who work in health-related service jobs.  But otherwise I agree with Bill, your HCV status will not affect your work in the health care industry.

A diagnosis of HCV shouldn’t prevent you from becoming a CNA. There are many nurses and doctors that are HCV positive and continue to practice their professions in spite of this. Good luck-
