You should be fine.. iam starting cna in 2 weeks and i wanna become a RN yet to come eventually.. Dont let this nasty litte demon we have hold u back.. Keep trucking with ur head up...
i was put on probation in 1987 for 3 years, suspended sentence, after that my lawyer had it closed ,no finding, no jail, and since then no problems, maybe a speeding ticket..
Was it a felony or a misdemeanor?
Agree with puppiepaws, it was a long time ago, not a felony, hopefully it will be no problem. Certainly worth applying for the position. Good luck to you!

i would think so.. cause its been over 20 years
BACK IN 1987-89 MY BOYFRIEND WAS ARRESTED AT MY HOME FOR DRUG POSS, I WAS ALSO FOR BEING THERE,GOT PROBATION,NO JAIL, AND NOTHING SINCE 1989.CLEAN AS A WHISTLE....IS THERE ANY HOPE I CAN STILL WORK AS A CNA.....
What do you mean by "a record"? Many states require background checks these days for persons who work in health-related service jobs. But otherwise I agree with Bill, your HCV status will not affect your work in the health care industry.

A diagnosis of HCV shouldn’t prevent you from becoming a CNA. There are many nurses and doctors that are HCV positive and continue to practice their professions in spite of this. Good luck-
