when you have hep c does your bowel movements change in color?

Mine has during treatment, bright yellow.

Not really unless severe damage.
white could mean advanced liver damage. tarry (black) could mean bleeding in upper GI tract.

The lack of color (ghost stools) can be due to a biliary obstruction; bile colors the stool. Additionally, sometimes patients with acute HCV will present with this; best to see a qualified doc for more info,

Green stool : bile, produced by the liver, colors the stool green. It is during it's slow (relatively) travel through the intestines it turns brown. When it passes through the intestines to quickly it ends up greenish.

I just hours ago took my fourth shot. The second week I had white stool for a day. A few days ago it was green. Since starting it's been a shade or two lighter most days.

Ha, I feel goofy as ... uh ... well ... you know, goofy for knowing so much about my stool. Actually the concern was about bleeding ..

Hopefully many of the more knowledgeable people here will chime in if this is the wrong info. Bottom line though is if it passes in a day or two it may not be to important. Of course bring it to your doctors attention, especially so, if it persists.

Its not the hep C that changes stool color but liver damage, meds and food can.
I've been warned against clay colored stools and dark tarry stool.
