confused by diagnosis

Liver enzymes were high, dr. ran more tests, pcr, riba, etc., before the test came back, he did an ultrasound and endoscopy.  He told me NO LIVEER DAMAGE AND NO LIVER DISEASE. The blood work came back, hep C, 880,000 viral load.  Now I have had a liver biopsy and awaiting results, then on to therapy, he says.  I dont understand, I thought Hep C was a liver disease, but why did he say NO LIVER DISEASE?  If the ultrasound showed no damage is there a chance that the biopsy will come back worse?  Please help!
