i dont want to scare you at all, but i have many tattoos and recently i was told by a fellow student who runs her own tattoo parlor that one must have clean seperate ink for each person, and the tubing must be changed after each person, becuase the virus also will be there as well. she also said something else must be changed but i forgot the name, it was something else that is attached to the gun. moreover, when most artist are givin a tattoo, they put the ink in something, whatever they put it in, i forget, but the problem is, when they do the next person, they refill the ink in the same container that is possibly infected from the previous person who may have had the virus. i found everything she said amazing and made much sense. after diagnosed i wont even get my ear pierced, becuase even if they said everything is clean, if i cant see it done, i cant trust. i hope everything works out well for you, which it most likely will. the chances of you getting hepC from a tattoo are very low, i think 14-17% so just get tested to be safe and play it extremely safe from this point on.
GODBLESS,
MRBILL
You probably are okay. There is no benefit to getting worked up at this point.
Insist your friend get tested. If your friend has it then you will need to go to the next step and see a doc, because if you have the virus, early treatment is best.
If your friend doesn't have it, get tested in a few months. One of the problems with tattoos is if the paint receptacles are not tossed out like the needles after each use, contracting hcv can easily occur.
What was the tattoo?

If I were you, I'd get tested and like some said in their post, get re-tested in 6 months. At least it will ease your mind. Prayers will be with you, and we are here to help! Love, Cindee ps in the meantime I would avoid any alcohol.
I'd say it is possible, yes. Probable? Not sure. If the person had dried blood on their hands maybe.
I'd get tested to ease your mind.
