could it be hep c

About 4 months ago I developed a strange itchy feeling all over my body.  It started shortly after a risky encounter.  I woke up in the middle of the night extremely itchy over my entire body.  After about a day the itch went away but seemed to be localized in the scrotum area.   Its been 4 months and since then the scrotum itch went away after about 3 weeks but ever since that time I get real itchy skin when I engage in physical activity such as running, working out or even just sweating a little.  If I rub lotion on my body the itching seems to go away for the most part.  I'm thinking it could be disease related or just dry skin ( weather started to change ie. got cold).

1.) Is it possible to all of a sudden develop an itch over your entire body due to dry skin?
or
Does this sound more disease related due to my liver?

2.) Is there a cure for hep c or is it once your exposed to it you have it and can therefore pass it on to others?

3.) Is it common for hep c to be spread through sex or is it mostly through blood?

I have also had an itchy red butt crack, pain in stomach, and blood in stools ( not sure if these have anything to do with it)

I wasn't referring to any of the hepatitis forums.  Check the list of forums.

I would be most concerned about the blood in your stools and try to see your doctor earlier than a couple of weeks....

1. You most likely do not have hepatitis you most likely have anxiety. The mind is a powerful thing. Depending on your risky exposure its hard to say.

2. Hep C can be cured with a combination of drugs, it pretty much reduces your viral load till your body can clear it.

3. Hep C is rarely spread through sex, mainly through blood. But STDs with open wounds such as herpes could lead to transmission.

Just get tested, no one here can help you or offer you peace of mind.

I noticed that you made inquiries at many of the forums, except the two obvious ones.  Good luck.
