so i finally have the meds at home.after the incivek delay there was also a delay on the pegasys and they came in late.
Great news and a big sigh of relief. :o)
Today I called the pharmacy and they can deliver the meds for thursday,so it looks like they will come in just in time.next time I order 2 weeks earlier.
Hope you get your meds on time and maybe they let you order the next batch a little bit earlier . Pharmacies usually will ship you some extra meds
in case of an emergency so you don`t run out and jeopardize tx.
When I went on tx I first ordered the meds but did not take them for a month
until I got my next batch. That way I always had an extra month sitting
in my fridge or on the shelve.
Good news. While talking to the pharmacy, ask them what needs to occur to assure this never happens again. It would also be good to know if the doctor had a small reserve of each of the meds. Happy new year to you.
well i have to wait till tomorrow morning for call my doc and the phamrmacy
yesterday i called a pharmacy wich opens 24/7.they said if i have trouble recieving my inciek they can deliver within 2 days,so i think and hope i get my inc. before friday.
happy new year to all
Not sure what pharmacy you use (Specialty Pharm?) I would keep calling, when I mentioned that I understood they had a patient advocate office they were more than helpful
I called the docs office, inurance co, pharmacy, vertex, I know overkill but when you need your meds you need them
Hi I understand how you feel, it happened to me and it was the doc's office that made a mistake, got pre approval for pegysus wrote scrip for pegintron.
I have go through Aetna Specialty. They are very nice however because of the docs office I am now off schedule. I called Nov 23 was told that my preapproval had expired. So had to wait while the docs office fixed that then the wrong drug approved, then finally got the meds with a few days to spare
Now, I call on the 27th of Dec and am told I have to wait til the 6th of January or Aetna will not pay. I am so glad that Mekea warned me this could happen however it is still so irritating. You are sick and need to explain everything, it was terrible in the middle of severe anxiety after finishing Incivek. I have a feeling this has to do with Christmas and New year as my pharmacy closed down on the 22nd and did not reopen til 27th Dec
I hope everything worked out.

I come from europe and I have to order the meds from an online pharmacy, but I have ordered this and last time per phone.
when I can't get the meds from them u will call a university where they have an early access to Telaprevir program.
I will do anything to get the meds on time.
I agree with the suggestions to order a bit early to give a few extra days to work out any problems that creep up for future orders. But your immediate problem is to make sure you get this delivery on time.
As Dave said, this problems do seem to work out, but only with your persistance to make sure it happens. They can certainly overnight this order, since that's how mine routinely comes through Aetna specialty pharmacy. Press hard, since they should understand the problems resulting from an interruption with Incivek. A 7-8 day delivery is unreasonable and I'd be very frustrated as well. Be sure to ask for the head nurse/supervisor when you call the specialty pharmacy to express your concern and make sure they handle this properly. Good luck and hope it works out.
i call in my prescription renewal on the 3rd friday of treatment schedule. that way i have the 4th week filled and a whole week for a buffer.
Which pharmacy are you using? My husband's insurance requires him to use Walgreen's Specialty Pharmacy, and we have never experienced a delay. They call us about the time that the next month's med supply needs to be scheduled, and they time it so that there is some buffer time in between when we are scheduled to receive it and when he needs it, just in case. We usually get the call from them about 1 week in advance of the day that he needs his meds, and if they haven't called, I call them. Specialty pharmacies should be available, even through the holiday weekend, so you might try calling once a day and stressing the importance of receiving your meds on time. If they don't respond more quickly, definitely contact your doctor asap.

Yes call them they should be able to express delivery for you, caremark where I get my meds are always so nice they said that they could overnight it to me if I needed it. If not i'm sure your Dr. can figure out something, I know he doesnt want you to miss a dose. I am on week 18 I did miss a dose of ribo but he told me not to worry just take it the next day. I hope everything turns out alright. God Bless
I am sorry for the trouble you are experiencing and the unnecessary anxiety it is causing. It's always a hassle to go through this nonsense when feeling so poorly from treatment. Usually it works out if you press on and are proactive as you plan to be, don't take no for an answer from them. I would also consider calling vertex if you are not getting the response you need from pharmacy or doctor.
Glad to here you are feeling better then before.
