Got my 4 week results this morning and I am not undetectable. Feeling a bit discouraged wondering if its worth the fight. Started out at 1.9 million, 444 at 2 weeks and now 179 at 4 weeks. Not sure I'll make 48 weeks of treatment, my platelets are already down to 28....
What do you mean give up? you're way under the 1000 required see where you are at 12 weeks. You may be undetectable then. My platelets are at 25 (4 week blood test). I'm hoping they stabilize. Let's not worry, it's bad for your liver. Sounds like things are working right now and that all we can hope for.
Now is not the time to throw in the towel, your still in the game. Your platelets should level off and even start to rise some, lets hope that will be the case. By chance if they don't then a slight dose reduction of the interferon might be needed soon.
You need to get to und as soon as possible, my guess would be if your not now you soon will be and before week 12........ You just got to hang in there for now, i know 48 weeks is not any fun but we do what we got to do and before one knows it you will be close to that time.
Think positive, don't give up yet, you are responding.......... Very best to you.
Thanks for all the encouraging words! I needed to hear a little of that today. I am on triple therapy with Incivek. Doing shot 6 this Sunday with a dose reduction of Pegasys. Platelets are stable at 28 again this week, so a bit of good news there! Thanks again everyone! :)
id tough it out...you will be undetected by 8...then 4 more weeks left of Telap...it got easier for me after stopping the the Telap....my nurse said everyone in the trial said it got easier...i know it did for me...48 weeks is a bummer...but its worth it to be free of the dragon!!! hang in there
You are doing great! You've achieved the benchnmark <1000 so there is no throwing in the towel. You have to hang tough, take care of yourself and try to stay positive. We all know how hard that can be when we feel lousy. You have nothing about which to be disappointed. Continued success!!
