don't understand knodell/ishak score

Hi-
I am having trouble finding a ishak table that corresponds with the numbers I read below. I would appreciate if anyone understands this better then I.

I had my biopsy re read and got a metavir score of s2, g2. I understand that part

The report went on to say if this was knodell/ishak score:

4 for interface change - Don't understand what this means
2 for lobular activity-not sure I understand this
4 for portal inflammation - It looks like this is the most inflammation on the chart, but the metavir score for inflammation doesn't seem to correlate.
3 of 6 for periportal fibrosis - I understand this

Then:
there is patchy primarily macrovesicular steatosis but not significant steatohepatitic activity an no perisinusoidal thickening-does this mean fatty liver or nash, my last report said possible nash?

I’m unfamiliar with some of the terms you have; sorry I can’t be of more direct help for you. Have you looked through Janis and Friend’s section on biopsy results? This discusses some of the details you mentioned; maybe you can glean some info from here:

I looked at that link, but the numbers I was given don't make sense to me. I am going to the doc tomorrow though. I imagine he knows, although I realize that they only want to spend so much time explaining details to me! lol
