When mine dropped it was DREADFUL and my head rang in my ears constantly. It drove me nuts. As soon as the Epogen got my hemo going back up it stopped completely. (My doc had wanted to send me to an ENT guy too - but I had read in HERE that it was the anemia and told him to test for it...and we did a CBC and it was indeed just that)
thanks anyhow
I have had ear surgery on left ear and it is a little worse on that side, I think-but hard to tell. I don't notice it most of the time just live with it.
How old are you? I think it is a symptom of aging?
Good health
Jim
Also got to reading alot more info about ears and hearing damage. I did read that when exposed to more that 80 decibils for more than an hour damage does occur. Think of all the concerts!!
I also worked at casino's for many years and the bigger do decible check every hour. So I bought my own decible meter to see for myself.
Also reading alot about hearing damage I learned that your ears do reflexively close up with loud noises ,especially when hearing damage has already occured.
The tinnitus arised during treatment and it is still there. I have learned to live with it, but I hear/feel it everyday. I think it can be caused by the anaemia. For me the condition has become a chronic illness. I have read about some positive results from Sweden by using Prozac. As a side effect tinnitus was reduced in a group treated for another illness.
Good luck and have a nice weekend
