effect of hep-c on alcohol processing

if a person is infected with hepatitis c will the rate the body processes alcohol decrease. i.e. will the blood alcohol level decrease at a slower rate than normal?

How fast alcohol processes out of the liver is determined by the degree to which the liver is damaged... ie: cirrohis, fatty liver. Drinking alcohol profoundly EVEVATES the viral load count, hence increasing liver damage.
