elevated GGT

by demonfighter, Sep 07, 2008 06:50PM
Hi
I am 38 diagnosed with hcv in February 2008 after routine blood test showed elevated alt and ast
I did fibro test and came out f3 a3 so I started taking treatment pegintron + rebetol
I am on medications for 16 week now and found UND week 10
My question is:
I made blood test early 2001 and than everything was normal except slightly elevated GGT which was then 82 (normal range was 15-73)
My doctor was not concerned than and I was wondering if he would send me to hepatitis test then my fibrosis could be much milder than it is now and guess chances would be bigger.
Was elevated GGT sign of liver disorder ?
thanks
