elevated enzymes

Just got back the results from my 4 week labs, and both my ast/alts are up. (Don't recall which is which, but one was 63, the other 86). Two weeks ago one was normal, the other 51. I know there was a recent thread about this, but don't recall the "verdict". Anyone out there who had this happen and cleared? I was really hoping that they would be going down--not up! I'm kind of bummed and worried. (45yo F gt1b, vl 647,000, stage 2 grade 3, just did #5 of 48, feeling fine overall.)

ALT's are the million dollar queation. Believe me, I have been racking the minds of Drs everywhere..
The recent theory on elevated ALT's during tx, is regeneration. The dying off of scar tissue and infected liver cells.
Before tx, my ALT where 62.. Week 2, shot up to 113. They slowly tapered down, and are currently 70 or so..
EVERY single Dr I have asked, all say that the PCR is more important than the ALT's.. That many people do not stablize until the discontinuation of the meds, and SVR.. Remeber, Pegysus is metabolized by the liver. If my ALT's where normal, while trying to breakdown this rat posion running through my body, I would be worried.
There are also many other factors.. Medications, excercise, diet, exposure to chemicals, etc..
Don't worry about it, the PCR should be the only thing on your mind!!By the way, glad to hear you are doing well as far as sx's..
