elevated temperature

elevated temperature

I am at 9th month after succesful tx. Tx was 48 weeks (pegas +  riba). Also, I am 6 months SVR. Now, I am asking you kindly if you can help me. I am worried about this suspicious temperature I get every 1 or 2 months. So, this elevated temperature has no "visible" cause, it lasts for, say, 2 days and then is gone like has never occured. First day usualy I have temerature between 38 and 39 degrees, day after a bit lower, and at third day it vanish, as odd as it can be. Once I had sore throat, but nothing else, (except a bit of headache). Are this symptoms (temperature and headache) related to my hcv desease or is it going on something completely different?
Also I would like you to help me about next issue. Once a while I get some strange pain in liver area. But I realy dont know is it liver pain or something else. Could it be a stomach pain? How does realy feel when liver hurts? Does exist some specific signs to determinate liver pain?

Thank you for your advice,

I can't answer any of your questions & I think it best if you seek an answer from the medical professionals.  I am confused on your temperature being 38 & 39? Best of luck to you though.

your name sounds familiar from a while back?  Congratulations on your sucessful hcv erradication!
I hope you realized that the answers you get here are going to be from individuals like you and me; personal opinions or shared knowledge from personal experiences only. No drs monitor this board as stated in that small disclaimer above.
I would suggest that you book a consult with a rheumatologist and rule out autoimmune conditions that might have surfaced with the hep c or the tx.
Someone else here was getting these unexplained fevers during and post tx, but in her case the hcv returned.  Have you been tested for the Epstein bar virus? Some chronic conditions can be traced back to it. The only way you are going to find out what is causing is by returning to  a dr to run tests that will rule out possible causes.
good luck on that pursuit

I don't know how old you are, or your gender, but I can tell you that women have significant temperature flucuations that are tied to their monthly cycles.  Basal body temperature prior to ovulation can be 2 or 3 degrees lower than after ovulation.

Could this be the explanation in your case?

38-39C is 100.4-102.2F
I have fever a few days at a time in the same range but I am still on tx.
Sorry for the short answer. I don't feel well lately.

I understand that an inflamed and enlarged liver will result in pain in the upper right quadrant behind the ribs.  The liver itself does not have nerves but the lining does and so with enlargment you feel pain.  However the gall bladder is another possibility for causing pain and discomfort.

Gall bladder symptoms:

Chronic Right Shoulder pain, spasm, instability (right shoulder, right upper back or thoracic spine, right upper rib subluxations)
Constrictive pain across the abdomen
Headache over one or both eyes.
Intolerance to fried or greasy (high fat) foods (bloating, nausea, diarrhea, cramping, etc)
Indigestion
Flatulence
Periodic pain below the right side of the rib cage
Bitter taste in the mouth
Chest pain

The pancreas causes pain in the middle of the abdomin (abdomen) straight up from the belly button that can radiate to your back.

So as someone suggested, it would be wise to take these issues to a doctor or a specialist, gastroenterologist.

I know your not supposed to be able to have liver pain and I never did till I had my biopsy.  Ever since then I have had a chronic pain in the liver area and the exact spot where the needle went in.  Go figure.
