enlarged liver?

this past week I went to the doctor for my annual phisical. While examing my stomack area the doctor said that my liver seemed to be either enlarged a little or lower than it should be I really can't remember. He ordered further blood tests, with an emphasis on liver enzimes. I must admit that I do drink alcohol probably more that I should and I also take precription meds, for blood pressure and anxiety.{clonazapam 0.5mg once aday} He realy could'nt offer an explanation untill the tests come back, which I understand. This is not helping my anxiety. I'm worried and wondering what the problem could be. I need to know something or mabe I don't want to know.Thank you.

Lucky Lou... To answer your question,no I have not been around any one with hepc. I quite frankly I did not know where to post my question. I appoligize if I went to the wrong location. However,I did not know that an enlarged liver was associated with hepc but your comment makes me wonder because I am in the health care industry. I appreciate you taking taking the time to give me some feed back. I'll let you know. Thanks.

Deebop..I'm curious, You came to a HEPC site, Is there anything else that might lead you to believe that this might be the problem?  Have you been around others that where infected maybe? How did you know that an elarged liver could possible be associated with HepC?  i am curious because before I was diagnoised I had no clue they were connected.  Hope its not my friend, but if it is, it can be cured.

the wait can be murder, but it is the only think you can do, as an enlarged liver is a symptom of too many conditions to list, and guessing serves no real purpose. you will have to wait for further tests results to get a clearer picture, everything else is guesswork.
