Thank you for all your loving thoughts on this. You know I think deep down in my heart I know all this advice is true. The first step will be the hardest. My little dog makes it difficult.I never had children so to me he is my kid. Other than that as I look around me there is nothing worth staying for.You guys have been more supportive to me than my mate has been in all the years I have known him.I have to take the leap of faith and pray the net will be there.I have spoke to my rhemy and funny thing she wanted to test my thyroid. I have no issues there. I called the hep team at the hospital with all the side effects scare and was told that the biggest concern is that they blow my thyroid.Ya and psychosis. Can u believe it. I think they like to cover there behinds and say that any side effects one might get are pre existing conditions.Just like all the others on the hep social pages talking about post sides.  But anyway I know I am going to have a talk to the hep dr. and will probably treat and now finally after all your support feel like I can make the move out and find some love and support to help me through this.I have one sis I could go to. I hope it is ok with her. I have zero $ so I am putting this in God's hands as I can't deal. I owe you guys alot. You will be in my prayers.   thankful  for all advice  Ivy

My advice is to not overthink leaving your mate or going though treatment for your HEP C. Just do it. Call your sister, tell her the situation, and just do it. I'm not saying its going to be easy, but the rewards are amazing. I did it a long time ago and know that you can also. It really and truly just gets better and better. Give yourself time and not only will you heal psychologically but will find the world to be your oyster ready for you to open and devour it! Then when you are in a supportive environment you can take care of your health which has to be your priority. I'm praying for you Ivy and my heart goes out to you...Kathy

My thyroid went on treatment first hyper then hypo.  This is the most common thing to happen. But I take one pill every day and it controls it by putting the hormone back in.

If you are very concerned about any of the psychological problems the doc can put you on an antidepressent before you start treatment. I started a month beforehand (which my doc it's pretty much standard) and didn't have any real big issues.

You just gotta do what you gotta do with this stuff but as long as you have a good doctor you will find except for the lethargy - most of  the problems that can come up can be handled. Then one day you will be finished and look back and go wow that went by pretty fast.

Take it one day at a time and just remember, we've been through it and understand.

We wish you all the best ivgirl.

thank you. I am over thinking it how did you know? My situation is complicated. They always are but I am worried about being a burden. I went to my parents yesterday and told them everything about treatment and the emotional and physical drain. They live a block away in a small town. That is why I moved here to be here in their old age anyway she told me my mother that is  and this cut like a knife   If you really dont have anywhere else to go then but I think you should try your sister first. Her place has only one bedroom. Now this is the same sister who left me out on the street after leaving this guy once before. I think my family is crazy. I have taken in every member of my family including their children during times of crisis now when it is my turn they turn me down.I really want to get a place just for me and my little dog.I also called the hep c team at the hospital to see if I can put this off for a few weeks until I can get myself together.I really cant risk trusting someone else to take care of me. The things money can solve hey.I am so thank ful for all your encouragement. I can do this just have to make a plan.   Bless you

Bless you too! Family can hurt you when you least expect it. Its happened to me before too. Not one of them offerred me anything other than words as support. My one brother told me I was interrupting his dinner when I had called him for help. When I left my last husband I went with the clothes on my back and moved onto the couch of a friend. I slept on that couch for two months while I found a job and pulled myself back from the brink of despair. There are organizations that can help. Send me a personal message and tell me where you live. My sister-in-law (new and improved husband) is a social worker and perhaps she can give some advice. My e-mail is ***@****

If this doesn't come through send me a message on this forum and I'll respond.
