HI I just wanted to second what Dee suggested. Tylenol (Acetaminophen) taken on the day you administer your Peg shot is recommended and supposed to help with the common and unfortunate side effects of the Peg.

Hi there, sorry I just saw this.  I am amazed that they did not help you with your insurance.  I was a 1A, I had to treat as I was going in to cirrhosis.
I did the Incivek, Pegintron, Riba

It was very difficult and there were some things that fell through the cracks so I was calling the insurance company, the drug company, the doctor.

I think many of us had to do a lot more work while sick than we thought we would have to do.  My drugs were delivered to the wrong address yet they kept insisting I had received.  Things like that seemed to become normal.  I was only approved for 12 weeks for a 24 week tx.

How long is your tx scheduled for?

Thank you for replying , let's just say my g.i. doctor hasn't really helped me and he's nurse *****. I've basically been on my own with this from the beginning.  They wouldn't even help me get approved, I did all my own research. When my insurance had denied me 2times. Once I get the meds in the mail. I went to the doctor office signed a paper and she gave me labs to get each week. I don't have a appointment till Nov. They don't check on me and don't call to give me the weekly blood work results. I'm glad this community is here. So which treatment did you do? For how long? and did it work? I take hot tubs in the evening also.

Hi there! WOW! I am so sorry to hear you are having to wear a brace.  I had many aches and pains while on tx.  In fact I went through something called rigors where every muscle in my body was rigid.  It was awful
I was given pain medication and it slowly went away as I got further in to tx.  I was told I could take up to 2000 mg of tylenol.  Not that I think it helps for the inflamation that I feel the tx caused but better than nothing.

I also used calcium magnesium potassium to try to help with the cramps.  Before bed I would take more magnesium as it relaxes the muscles.
I am so sorry you are going through this, what has your doctor said or done?  I had to go to my GP for help because the hepatologist would not help with the sx.
Warm baths in epsom salt can help as well.
Take care, Dee
