false positive test

by vangie43, Oct 20, 2009 08:55PM
what would cause a false positive test for hep c when all my other test came back great...in 1991 i had a positive then a negative so it was an inconclusive finding. could it be caused by diet soda or the cold i was getting over?

I have never heard of a false positive , but I have heard of a false negitive . Hmmm Sorry I'm no help here. I have both C and B , I got C about 2 years ago and B was diagnosed only about 5 months ago After recieving 2 b vacines. Geeez.
My husband is where I got both of these from though and he has had both for about 13 years. He has tested false negitive several times.
Best of luck with your treatment !

Diet soda? What in the world does that mean?

If you've waited since 1991 to find out if you really have hepc or not you sure have waited an awful long time - I doubt that diet dr pepper has that much power over sickness and health. but then it is called a doctor!~
