Have not started yet!! They having me in a waiting pattern again, seems I can't get into see the Pharmacist to get my instruction until Sept. 22. I was P.O. to say the least that is why my head has to much free time to think. So, I am being creative and gathering all sorts of info on good fats. thanks for the good wishes, I will keep them at heart....Mo
winter is around the corner. and berry , is all i can eat. The pounds I will be fat after this tx. Not good.
Just to add to this list of suggestions..... I bought hummus at Sam's Club which is available in individual servings, 12 to a box. Each 2oz serving has 13 grams of fat and I bought a bad of Simply Naked pita chips to eat with the hummus. 10 chips has 5 grams of fat, for a total of 18 grams
My goal is to eat healthy fats as much as possible, where i can get some good nutrition as well. It sounds like you want to take this approach.
I also found individual packages of Rice Dream ( in place of ice cream) cookie sandwiches at the health food store. I had one last night for the first time and it was delicious. 19 gr of fat and everything in it is good for you, or at least better for you than the processed variety.
Good luck!
Olive oil is high in fat and heavy whipping cream is too you can make your oatmeal with it.
Glad you started tx ....you're on your way. hope all goes well.
Wow, you don't mess around!! I spend at least one afternoon a week searching the store and have tried to keep it healthy..but, what the heck..you know how to find fat...I smiled :)
Here are a few things I found that arent going to keep you trim but....the things is the nausea can be bad and make you not want to eat. These things are quick and almost painless: Jimmy Dean sausage biscuits in the box. They have the 2 mini biscuits in a pack. A pack of those are about 26 grams fat. Milk is 8 grams a cup and oreos 7 grams for 3 cookies so you could have 2 cups of milk and 3 cookies or however... also, smuckers chocolate shell that gets hard when you put it in ice cream...16 grams of fat for 2 tablespoons. Look also in the frozen pastry section like turtle pie individual slices...1 of those and a cup of milk
Thanks, I have been looking around in the grocery store this week and find all this amazing. I have been a lowfat gal for years that I have to LOL. My husband just read Good Calories, Bad Calories and handed it to me saying I needed to read it to figure out the different fats to eat. I must say I am a little overwhelmed with the idea and vasalate back and forth btw what tx to start with. My doctor said if I choose the other one I don't have to deal with the fat issue but only 3 months of a third drug is was draws me to choose this one.
I browse the grocery store. Today's find? Low Sodium ritz crackers n I found some pimento cheese too that was loso. I fry eggs and loso bacon w/ mayo n loso bread. I've been eating w/o much sodium for a year. So I can't indulge just any fat. I have quite a few restaurants and websites saved on my smart phone. Add those that flcyclist sent you. I printed them out at first, but I've kinda got it down. You will too!!
When all else fails, have a bag of almonds, sunflower seeds, n boost shakes 100% of the time.
Oh yeah. Plate of nachoes w/ grated cheese and ground beef seasoned w/ Mrs Dash. Baked potatoe w/ sour cream n real unsalted butter. Now I can't wait til 9:40. I eat about 20 min before I take inhibbie. Good luck, Karen :)
