food question

hello all,

i have a question related to hiv: i was invite to a friend party. he served some sausages. everyone ate these sausages using just their hands, no forks or other tools. we had this single dish full of mustard, and after each bite from sausage, all of us were dipping their sausage in this plate of mustard.

is there are risk in cauching Hiv or hepatitis from sharing the same mustard plate? just think what if i dip my sausage in the same place as one of my friend do, this after he take one bite of his sausages, and then he dip his sussage again to take mustard...

There is NO RISK, even if we were 7 persons, and all of us, were dipping parts of sausages in this plate? from a sausage, one can have 3-4 bites. so after each bite, they dipping the remaining part in mustard. what if some saliva remain in mustard, or some blood left in mustard? and if I ingest the mustard with saliva or blood? NO RISK? Thank you

Didn't Sam Shepard say - "on a hot day, mayonnaise can kill you?"

Double dipping does spread bacteria and not all of it is bad.

But, if people don't practice good hygeine, you may get some transfer of something like the stomach bug, which unlike hepC, is very easily spread from person to person when you come in contact with the virus.

But, if It were me, I'd not be worried about catching hepC or HIV from dipping a sausage in some mustard. It would be nearly impossible.

in the Incredibly rare case that this could happen, you can't catch Hep C by eating it

It is spread by blood to blood contact

please refer to the link I sent you

And, dipping anything collectively is rather gross and not the proper way to dine, You may dip once, then not again. Otherwise, it is
"considéré comme de mauvaises manière

What are ways Hepatitis C is not spread?

Hepatitis C virus is not spread by sharing eating utensils, breastfeeding, hugging, kissing, holding hands, coughing, or sneezing. It is also not spread through food or water.

As was already said NO RISK, if YOUR worried, wait the proper amount of time and get tested, it is the only way to know for sure
