I have always been a helper of people. But i am into the 10th week of this incivek my hgb is down to 10 and people just keep asking me to do them favors.... what's up with that? Do they not understand when I say I am sick that I am really sick. Guess i have to be on my death bed first huh? geez..... Can barely walk or breath already :(

Hi.  My nurse told us -- if it's Not about you, Not for you, and doesn't benefit you, tell "them"......NO!!  This is a time for you to be a little bit selfish and focus on getting better.  You should tell them as much, and not feel like you have to be overextended to please anyone else.  Take care and I hope you get something for the anemia, so you can feel better soon.

I like blessedbee's nurse!  I guess I look healthy enough and people can't tell how hard it is for me to focus, talk, lead like I normally do.  I know every minute is hard, they can't see it.  Guess it's understandable they forget now and then (even of i cant) or dont know.  So I just say no more often. That quote makes mr feel better about it though and it is sound and necessary advice.

Wow, has well said by all.  We aren't "sick" in a way people can relate to, yet every fiber of our being is suffering.  Everything is a struggle.   There is not a minute of normal in my life, day after day, week after week.  Friends will say, "you don't sound sick."

We will all have future challenges in our lives.  We will be stronger facing these challanges after going through this.

I think we'll ALL be quoting that nurse! I'm telling you, hard as it was... Moving. In w my daughter was the best decision she ever made for me. She cooks, cleans, does all my laundry n keeps telling me to sit down.
I know those of you with younger children don't have that luxury. I did tell my granddaughter when I got my first Rx shipped that their Nama was going to relax n rest for a whole year. It's hard. Now they pile on the couch for help W their homework!  Really. What woman is good at saying no?
Maybe that's one of the lessons we're meant to learn here... I know...  trying.. Sigh.

Sometime Ya just can not win for loosing I lost wife to cancer 5 yr ago
Then a year or so Mom who is 78 got to where she was not good by herself a little Dementia , so I moved her in to keep a eye on her.
Then got opportunity for Hep treatment and you know I have to do it, So now 84 weeks on duo therapy, Which kind of worked but came back, and now Triple with Incevik she just dose not know how bad I feel some times, or dose not understand!
OH BOY!!!
I could also tell the wall the nurses advice I do not think it will do any good though.
