Does anyone know the shelf life of pegasys outside of the fridge?

I wouldn't think all that long - it wouldn't be worth it going bad, then using it and not knowing.

Sounds like the kind of info that might be in the insert?  I'm sorry I just dn't know.

There should be a help line number on the product info. for answering questions. I'd call them to get the answer. Or you can find the number on their website @

The product information page says it should not be left outside the refrigerator for more than 24 hours.

The "24" hours is an accumulative number. In other words, you can't leave it out 23 hours one day and 23 hours the week after. I freaked if they didn't pack enough ice with the shipment and transit time was around 17 hours. In fact, returned one shipment for that reason.

my NP specificly told me if it's left out of the fridge for 24 hrs. throw it away, it's no good. and the nurse from Pegaasist told me the temp should be between 36 and 46 deg f. i bought a thermometer to monitor the temp.

thanks for all you help; I picked up and it was only out for maybe 3-4 hours but back in a safe place. My fourth shot tomorrow. However, four days or so ago I was at a dept. store waiting to check out, and my vision turned into one of those sensations that one optically experiences when one stairs down a highway in the swelter of summer and heat rises off the asphalt. Then the ao another occasion I was in the back seat of a car, and it felt like I was getting dizzy, but not in my head per se, but through my eyes. This is the stuff the scares the **** out of me.Whew!!!!!!!!!
