Hey--thanks for the validation.  I just couldn't understand the fatigue.  I keep thinking if I am this tired now what will I be when I begin tx?
Well, I can't predict the future---and who knows--maybe I will feel better once I begin tx.  Time will tell.
Question for those of you on active tx--did your fatigue increase?  Is there a difference?
Thanks everyone--I really appreciate the dialogue.

Hey thanks!  Sounds like it varies from person to person whether they can work while on tx.  I'm going to give it my best.  Overall right now I must admit other than fatigue and occasional right side pain (no biggee) I feel okay.
I keep weighing the pros and cons over tx but for now I've decided that's the answer for me.  Reading how people respond helps a lot--I know I will enter tx with my eyes wide open.  Thanks again.

I do have the nausea feeling all the time but when I vomit I feel so much better, just for a little while though...I was very very nauseous when I was pregnant...I could hardly get out of bed...Do you think its bad for me to be that neaseated now that I am not pregnant anymore?

Once I quit teaching, I rarely got sick.  I'm on treatment now and *knock on wood* I haven't had any colds, etc.

I was fatigued and I did have joint pain on occasion before I started treatment.

Hey my friend. I run the operations of a manufacturing company with approx 100 people who are counting on my pee brain. I'm lucky with the brainfog and all to find that they can do just fine without me. Most people wouldn't say that but my biggest worry was about will I be fit to make decisions that won't have a negative affect on these people. It has been tough. I still can not sit down with a Excel spread sheet and go through it. I can deal with a summary but that's about as far as my brain will let me go these days. One thing I would suggest especially considering your job is that you have those around you check your papers until the treatment is over. I have everyone look over what I'm doing just for safeties sake. The other problem I have is going into stall. Ozoning out and it ain't good on country roads coming home. I pulled out in front of a lady the other day after looking that direction twice so now I am scared of myself. I take Ambien during the day so that may casue some of it (kidding). Rest is the biggest answer and plenty of it. I'm usually down in bed by 8:30 and sleep till 6:00 the next morning. It's helped alot too. Hang in there and we will keep it coming from the squirrel section. Dale

I've not had any problems at ALL except for sides from tx. I didn't even know I had the disease at ALL until it popped up that I had high enzymes and they did the test.

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. Are you sure these things are hep related?

Thanks, good work advise, I am hoping my boss
is ok with this, as she should be, she has been
so far...
one thing regarding the driving, I
understand that so well, I don't even
drive at this point except to work. Once
my day is finished, I wait for my fiance' to
get off work & take me home. I just sit, space out
and go into a 'zone' myself.

Yes, I have noticed more skin infections than usual that's for sure...every little scratch gets infected...that was one of the reasons I went to the doctor and made them test me, I knew my immune system was out of whack, I could feel it...I don't get other illnesses however, in fact my daughter had Strep throat and was in the hospital for a few days because of it, she also has HCV but I didn't catch it...

As for me no, never was one to catch a cold or flu very often. The only thing with me was the fatigue. Would guess though it differs with people.

Same with me as with can-do-man.  However, about two years ago, I started noticing a very low-grade fever -- nothing to make me need to stay home, but annoying enough to have to push myself to get going, along with the fatigue.  My dr. at the time kept telling me -- "you're probably coming down with something..."  ya think?!  To make a long story short, I found a new dr who dx'd hcv cause he cared enough to poke around even though I didn't fit "the profile."
Be well.

I agree with 'can-do-man'-- never sick, very healthy othewise and great energy level. Now with treatment, different story. Maybe the stress of your Hep C has lowered your immune system and made you more suseptable???, but I'm no expert, not even close. Good luck to you.

I am having fatigue and joint pains also...getting sick all the time is probably because of stress, I have a alot of it...and I was wondering if anyone knows if a viral load of 1,010,000 is alot? Thats what mine was in the middle of dec. and my dr told me to come back in a year...so I have been very worried about that...Thanks, Jill

Dyce you can bet we are going to beat this thing together. You and I are on about the same track so we go together. I Just hope you folks are able to bear up to my crazies. Better here than at home though I was told by someone.

Beamer: Keep an eye on Can do. He is talking to newcomers and talking like he is stable and that he will help them figure out who is trustworthy and stable on the site. We have the fox guarding the hen house now.

Can-do: You do realize that some people will actually think you are the stable one here and believe what you say. You know like I did for the first month which led to me taking my shots orally. Shame on you. Dale

I suffered from headaches everyday for probably the last 20 years. Some worse than others and the doctor's always poo-pooed my worries (thought I had a brain tumor or something). Also have RA. Since clearing the virus I seldom have a headache and the body aches have lessoned considerably. Maybe it was all related to the hep, don't know.

I am recently diagnosed and in the past always considered myself to be "very healthy".  However, I was becoming a closet "fatigued" person.  Why?  I couldn't understand why I was so tired all the time.  I could fall asleep sitting up.  I just couldn't understand it.  But I kept it to myself because I thought maybe I was just lazy.  I mean, I looked healthy and I work with some very competitive, much younger individuals--so I kept pushing myself to keep up.
Now that I know I have HepC I think I understand why I have been so tired--even though I am only stage 1, grade 2 I think it is possible this is the cause of my fatigue--right?
Thanks again everyone.
I plan to start tx after my son's wedding in May and I am learning so much from all of you.

You are so funny, when I am down, which is alot lately,
I have been reading these forums...and you are lifting my
spirits!!!
Actually everyone is... but Dale, you have a sense of
humor close to mine.

I left a comment on another question, anyone have
any idea how to help or deal with my problem of
not being able to concentrate.??
It's serious, since my job involves the courts, and
tesifying to the records our agency maintains.
I need some fast acting cure?? Anyone?? Dale??

See if I didn't have you and this forum I would still be doing it wrong. So you had told me before to take the riba rectally and the Pegasis and Nupogen orally with lemon. Now your telling me to take the shots rectally but my question is do I still need the lemons and what do I do with the riba? Dale
