I'm not getting my hopes up that I'll be as lucky as you, but I'm nonetheless interested in what happens in cases like yours. You certainly do have a lot to smile about! Best wishes to you.

i believe that i got infected at age 17 about 10 yrs ago. 7 years ago i was diagnosed. at that time i had a load of 1165 and elevated liver enz. unfortunatley i didnt care and continued to live distructivly for 4 more years during which time i had no more tests done. then 3 years ago i became pregnant with my son.... terrified that i was going to give it to him i informed my ob dr. who explained that the prob. was low that he would have it but that i should take care of my self and monitor my own condition.... i have been every since with a load of <200 and recently <10 i wish i could offer more answeres than that, no i never did have a biopsy.... although i am trying to get one just in case right now... another person on this forum who you could speak with is jg2001 i understand they cleared on their own too. wish i could be of more help.....best wishes and prayers.....mysmiles*
GL to you
I wonder if your pregnancy had anything to do with it. A few months ago, I posted a link to an article on a recent Japanese study that found a significant number of women with HCV cleared the virus after becoming pregnant. They didn't understand how or why this was happening, but did believe there was indeed a correlation between pregnancy and clearing the virus.

Thanks I did see the earlier post from JP. Another amazing story.
Foreign girl.
I can attest to that. I know that there are others that can acknowledge that...type 1's and two's alike.
The most miserable 6 months of my life during treatment bought me the rest of my life without the thought living day to day with HepC. Though we all want to think that there is a lesser intrusive treatment coming so, reality is that it is the best that is offered at this point in time.
Question is...are the odds off success worth it? That is a question only you can ask yourself.
Ask the folks going through their third attempt who are type 1's, and what their motivation is for enduring it again. Everyone has th will to live...but the question is what is the quality of life that we are willing to live for the long term, given our current choices.
Hmmmm.......
