glitch in tx ?

Hi everybody I haven't been on in a while. I'm on week 16/48. I was und at week 6 and week 8 now at week 13 my viral load showed 30. All my test were done using LabCorp hcv quantasure plus which goes down to 10 iu/ml. My alt and ast are in low 20's, at week 6 and 8 they were in the mid 20's. My doctor having me do another test Friday using the hcv quantasure plus and the hcv ultraqual. I'm hoping the week 13 test was an error from the lab and new test shows und. I'm Frustrated with the lab result but the good news is tx so far has went fairly smooth. My sx's are minimal mostly a little fatigue, no riba rage or rash I feel pretty good most days. Hope everybody is doing well.

Lynn

Consider using another lab as a control, if insurance permits. A very good and sensitive test is Quest Diagnostic's " HCV RNA Qualitative TMA".

It's a very sensitive qualtiatative test (down to 5 IU/ml) and will not present ambiguous results. The final report will read  either "Virus Not Detected" or "Virus Detected". Because it's a qualitiative test, you will not get viral load, but at this point all you really want to know is if you have the virus or not.

All the best,
