Does anyone have info on hair dyes while on tx?  I dye my hair every month and i'm afraid to dye it with my regular product.  Should I go organic?  I hear tx  makes hair really dry and brittle, so I'm afraid it just might fall off because of its harshness:)

I heard that "Chi" professional coloring is not peroxide based and therefore safe.  Supposedly developed for chemo patients.  My hair isn't falling out (yet -- I'm in month 3 of tx) so I'm going to try it.  I'll let you know how it does.

Kept my normal routine of every 4-6 weeks (was on tx for 24 weeks) and it got a little dryer, but better than grayer!

make sure you have a ph balanced shampoo also....no Dr. Bonner's or harsh dandruff shampoo.  try Paul Mitchell or one that says it is PH balanced.

yup no dyes no chemicals if you want to keep your hair.

it does help to keep it hydrated...oiled...either with olive oil or a leave in conditioner.
anything that help dryness and brittleness is good...anything that weakens the hair shaft is bad.

i was told no dyes whatsoever, no chemicals. I havent colored my hair since 11/23/07.
Thinking of it but dont have that much hair to color anymore since alot has come out, Im afraid of burning my scalp.

Perhaps I will try a natural one without chemicals, if not get a wig I guess.

I was told only wash it onces a week and comb once a day. Thats what Ive been doing.
Not fun but it it what it is!

I did highlights, which I believe has peroxide and dye.....  My hair was very fragile during treatment thought.

I dyed my hair while on treatment.  Did it just when I had too, since my hair got very dry.  It didn't seem to impact treatment.  Some people have more severe hair loss and problems then I didn though.
