Portann,

There’s always room for Jello :o).

Bob,

I found all kinds of injection site issues with interferon; none of which persisted past six months post treatment. I got two cysts; hard little knots in adipose tissue that developed then disappeared eventually.

The most disconcerting development was localized neuropathy or numbing of the thighs; I injected most of the first treatment in my stomach area; it took all the hair off my belly. The injected the majority of my second treatment in my thighs, and a four inch area on both thighs developed a burning/numbness on both sides. It also left a ‘hollow’ area on each thigh where it apparently ‘burned’ the overlaying fat off the muscle; all of this resolved within six months of completion of treatment.

You might mention this hard spot to your doc, but my guess would be that she’ll tell you it’s a cyst, and not to worry at this time.

Best to you, and hang in there,

Bill

i only did my shots in my thighs for the first half of 48 weeks until i  found a kind of hard ridge in my left thigh.

That's when i started injecting in my stomach as well as thighs, rotating among four spots until the end of tx. Don't know if it helped.

The nurse had originally told me to use all four sites but unlike many here who preferred their stomachs to their thighs, I was the opposite.

Best wishes and thanks for all the music advice. TTYL.

Now, post-tx, the hard thigh ridge is gone with only jello left.
