Hi Shakira.  Hepatitis B virus is much more difficult to diagnose and understand than is hepatitis C. Hep B has many kinds of antibodies and antigens. The Hepatitis B Foundation in Doylestown, Pa, would be happy to speak with you and help you understand. By the way, unlike hep C, if an adult is infected with hep B, they only have about a 10% chance of it becoming chronic. So things may not be nearly as bad as you fear. Please look up the foundation on Google and call them for some more help. Good luck to you and your hubby.

This is the Hep C forum, not Hep B. You'll be more apt to get a good answer if you post on the Hep B forum.
