help on bloodwork

I have a bunch of blood work from the last 3 or 4 weeks and I know some stuff on there in particular the platelets cause thats what I needed to work on but all else is greek to me, so if you can let me know what is important and how is it written so I can look it up and post back. Only whats important so I dont copy the whole thing.Thanks for any help.

you need to realize that everyone have different standards of "normal"

i usually go with
WBC (white cells normal suppose to be > 3),
ANC (absolute neutrophil normal suppose to be > 1.2)
Hemogobin (red cells normal suppose to be > 11)

that's all i pay attention to.

The term usually used, rather than "normal", is reference range. This is simply the range of values tested for people in general. This range of numbers should be shown on your blood tests. Your doctor should point these out to you, or you can request a copy of the tests. Just because a particular test is outside the reference range, is not necessarily a reason to get alarmed. Talk to the doc about any of the tests about which you have questions.

If you want to know more about the tests, you can go to a site for lab testing companies(Labcorp, Qwest Diagnostics, etc.) for more information.

OK there guys, I thank you for the posts and I am in range on the white and red, couple of things are out of range and high but I have other things to worry about.(I'll be posting)
