Where can one get help with the copay of $735 a month for six months. My gross monthly income is only $1600.00 a month

Contact whichever manufacturer you are using, and ask for the patient assistance:

Pegassist (Roche Pegasys system): 1-877-734-2797

Commitment to Care (Schering- Plough PEG-Intron system): 1-800-521-7157

These people are great; I used them for years, and they paid 100% of my Hep C medicine costs. I don’t know what their income caps are, but it sounds like you shouldn’t have any problems. Schering Plough uses income only; they don’t view assets; have a copy of last years 1040 available to send them; you should be able to apply over the phone, for the most part.
