Transmission Scenario

deep throat kissing with a stranger - a lose metallic cap for an old root canal covered a rotten tooth(mainly skin growth)- no bleeding during the time of kissing - gulped a beer pint after kissing - maybe irritated the metallic cap on top of rottern tooth & opened a fresh cut an hr or so later - also brushed 7-8 hrs later causing few nicks

possibilities of hcv infection as I have heard hcv can stay alive for upto 4 days on environmental surfaces?

Kindly, make me a little informative about this risk scenario..

Thanks...

I have now heard it all.

No you do not have hcv you can't eat it or swallow it to catch it it is a blood borne disease that can only be spread blood to blood.

Now maybe you have contracted HIV or clamidia something but I dont know about those things.

Thanks for answering. I would just like to make sure if you are on the same page as me regarding the scenario.

In case the hcv blood remained in my mouth after I gulped the beer(alcohol causes hcv growth) & then I rubbed it in my wound maybe an hr or so later after the french kiss. I don;t recall as I was completely drunk but I might have brushed my teeth as well within an hr. after the incident causing some more nicks to open up and give access to hcv.

I need to understand that if hcv virus enters a persons mouth via french kissing and the person brushes his teeth shortly after, can that be dangerous as well or is it dangerous only when the person has open wounds at the time the virus enters the mouth.

I understand I am being a little paranoid but I just need to know these things so I can maintain safety for future as well.

Thanks again..

I dont understand what gulping beer has to do with HCV at all - but the other person would have to have hepc to start and then she'd have to have been bleeding and I guess technically it would be possible but they chances are probably one million to one.

Gulping beer , deep throat kissing., .losing caps  ,and brushing your teeth while drunk..all sounds interesting...however    nil risk for contracting HCV. You would have a higher risk at the dentist"s when you get that cap replaced.
