hep c antibodies

My hubby is hepc, my kids and I have tested negative for the past 2 years.  I received a copy of this latest test for me and my daughter which were interperted as negative.  What made me nervous was that there was a value to the antibody level.  My result was .7 and my daughter's was .26 - the referance range was 0 to 1.0 so we were negative.  I have gotten some feedback telling me not to worry and that there can be crossover material, antibodies to other viruses, proteins and bugs that amount to the levels indicated in our results .7 and .26.  But I can't help but worry, especially since I am pregnant - I was pregnant at the time of the blood test so can that account for the higher level than my daughters?  Should I test again b/4 the birth?  I appreciate your response.  Thanks and good luck to all - my husband is well with no symptoms or liver damage.  Thanks

One possible solution to putting your mind at ease is to get a blood test that detects the presence of the virus. This is called an RT-PCR test, or just PCR.

Ask the doctor to order a Hepatitis C PCR test for both of you and will get results in a couple of weeks.

God bless.  -Michael
