I am not 100% sure if you are asking if Hepatitis C is labeled a sexually transmitted disease (STD) or if you are asking if Hepatitis C can be transmitted sexually.
Hepatitis C does not fall under the label of STD. However, Hepatitis C can occasionally be transmitted via sex. Sex is not a common form of transmission, but it can occur if there is blood to blood transfer.
Hepatitis C is transmitted by getting infected blood into another person's blood stream. That means both people have to have open cuts of some sort. The infected person must be bleeding and that blood must then get into the other person's open cut and into the blood stream.
I hope that answers your question. Here is a link that will give you a lot of information (including transmission) about Hepatitis C.

I have read that it's a very very low risk for manogamous couple to transmit sexually and both partners have to be bleeding for it to happens since it is a blood borne disease. I think the risk is higher if you are very sexually promiscuous...not sure why it matters, maybe sexually promiscuous people have way wilder sex? Anyway, that's what I have read. Hep B is a std, not so much hep C.
You are kidding, right ? No, it is a blood borne virus .
