hep c treatment

I did not have a abnormal liver functions nor any side effects of the Hep C ....why did I have to go threw treatment and now I am losing my eye sight and have very bad nerve damage. I was not like this before the treatment. I lost my job of 27yrs, my house, and ready to be homeless.

Hello, I am sorry to hear of your problems. Your post is lacking some information such as you Geno type, stage/grade and if you SVR'd from tx.   I also have problems from my first tx however I know more now than I did then and I am getting ready to try again with the new triple therapy..
As Hector has stated, Hep C is benign compared to end stage liver disease.
Have you tried to find some help for your side effects?

I'm sorry to hear of the troubles you are having. Have you been seen to determine what is causing the eyesight issues?

I ask because loss of vision is not a result of treatment, it can occur if the person has other underlying issues, such as untreated or under treated insulin resistance, or Behcet's syndrome, there are these other issues which can cause both nerve damage and eyesight issues.

I would strongly suggest you get to an ophamologist and discover whats goinf on. MAny times eyesight can be preserved by certain meds and procedures if caught in time.
You need to also determine the cause of ongoing nerve damage.
Seeing an endocrinologist, a rhematologist and a neurologist would be in order.   Sorry to hear of your troubles.
