We're closing this thread. Please talk to your doctor.
We understand this seems suspicious, but let's remember we are a support site first and foremost.
Have a great week, everyone.

You had me in stitches laughing about eating Hostess pies, Cup Cakes. And Ho Ho's until you were sick. I don't usually eat big breakfasts, and certainly not early in the morning. Ended up eating peanut butter on gluten free rice crackers. Layered on the crunchy PB thickly every morning and now I am carrying it all around my middle...
On a more serious note, maybe the doctor really didn't convey the seriousness of the situation. With the new drugs treatment is so much easier that people might start thinking it is like a course of common antibiotics. This sort of thing could happen more often.
I was gobsmacked and didn't believe this at first. If it is true, lets hope the OP is OK. Would be good to know what the outcome is for future reference.
I'm curious about the OP age. Just not enough info on how or if this really happened. It doesn't take much reading on Medhelp to know that for most these meds are our lifeline.
I think Happy said it "Lack of education and compliance".
We know one person who won't be forgetting her meds..Go jules2551!!
Hahaha!!!!
Read that 8% of treatment naive started sovaldi and quit in the first month.
Lack of education about compliance. I do have to admit I was told nothing about hepatitis C treatment with Incivek. Given the pills and told to take them with fat. So I ate Incivek and Hostess pies, Cupcakes and Ho Ho's till I was sick. Could have used better instructions.
It's hard to believe the pharma sends you 6 months of treatment drugs. That would be really wasteful. I too question if this is a real event.
This can't be a real post who would forget omg!
This almost tops the last one I heard where the patient doubled his dose to get done in half the time.
I honestly didn't know what to say without saying what would get me kicked off this site. In the three years I have posted on this forum .....never have I read a post like this. Never have I come across something like this in the 10s of thousands I've read on this forum.
I don't even know if it possible you can start again. Are you aware these Hepatitis C treatment drugs cost in comb over 100,000 dollars. You may have just blown your chance to be cured of hepatitis C. Your doctor is the only person who can help you.
As I said before.....call your doctor.
Dude, come on what the heck? I'm with pacman
Very tactful pacman! My version wouldn't have been as sensitive.
Hello , I am sorry that i cant hold myself back from commenting on this post of yours .
YOU FORGOT !!! this is a serious disease and not a joke , how careless can one be , there are people around the world and in the usa who are battling with insurance companies and prying to God everyday to get Sovaldi so they can get treatment and you on the other hand FORGOT !! .
I have in my 43 years never met someone who could be so careless with such an important medicine and such a horrid disease ...
I hope and pray that you can get yourself together and get back on the meds again and finish your treatment without forgetting again ...
What all treatments people have been through and what side effects people have had to go through to try and get rid of hep c ( specially on the older tx ) ...
you have a cake walk compared to them , dont blow it ...
Go back to your doctor and pray that you get a full course again ....
May god give you the ability to treat and get cured once and for all ...
best wishses ...
