What you write seems to indicate that you HAD the virus and successfully fought it off, probably without your feeling at all ill. You now have anti-bodies to the virus. This is good. However, if I were in your shoes I'd ask for a PCR, which will tell you if any active virus is still in your blood and, if so, how much. But most likely you're one of the lucky 20% who contract hcv and just sluff it off.
I wonder if the blood bank will take it with positive anibody's? Not sure. I know they now won't take my husbands because I have it.
