If ALT/AST are elevated it means something is taxing liver function.
Any sustained elevation is something to be concerned about.
it's not bad I have heard of ppl in the 400 and 500's mine was like 50 and 60 but your alt an ast can very at different times. You really need to get a biospy that will tell the tale. God Bless
Welcome to the forum. Your ALT and AST can be high for different reasons and may not be high because of HepC. Besides that, 90 is not really that high, could have gotten that way from taking herbs, allergy pills or any number of ways. 90 is only double, give or take a few. It's more important to find out your genotype and then have a liver biopsy to find out what the real damage is, if any at all. good luck
