Hep C is not reoccuring. Of those who are exposed to it, a minority, like the person who posted above, are cured of the disease using their own immune system. For the rest, Hep C becomes chronic. That means it persists in your system as long as you live.

Most people with chronic Hep C, especially in the early phases, have no symptoms at all. Most don't even know they are infected until some abnormality comes up in a routine blood test. Other people experience symptoms including fatigue.

Normally symptoms occur when the Hep C has done significant damage to your liver. At that point there are a number of really severe symptoms.

Why do you ask?

i got hep c but my body fought it off on its own. i have seen a specialist and i dont have the virus. i dont know if it comes back or not but i assume that means i cant give it to anyone, the specialist told me i was lucky because that doesnt happen very often. i thanked god and it felt very relieved. good luck to you.
