What to take for pain  with HCV.depends on different factors,especially how much damage the virus has done or not done to your liver. Also it depends on other health issues you may have. For most people that have HCV .and not chirrotic most pain medications can be tolerated. Always within the prescribed dosing limits and for the shortest time span possible ,while still maintaining relieve.
If you are chirotic or possibly have low platlets or any gastro bleeding issues the OTC NASAID"s can cause further problems and acetaminophen is recommended and for someone with chirrosis (cirrhosis) in no more than 2 gram doses per day.
With HCV  always best to get the advice from a doctor who knows your history  before taking most medications.
