In genetics, heterogenous is an adjective used to describe something derived from a different individual or species.

So i guess it means somebody elses liver.

Do you mean heterogeneous (note the xtra "e")? It means not uniform throughout.

Your definition makes more sense. The opposite of homogeneous.
